Dear HWW Students, Families and Community members, 

Our Semester 2 is fully underway; we are proud of how our students are taking up their new courses and working hard to get off to a great start. Textbooks are signed out, student course changes are almost complete, and Warrior Athletics and Clubs are up and running, including a double win for our b-ball teams in our gym last night. Our Drama students are preparing Romeo and Juliet for their Spring show, and our Band students are planning their various upcoming concerts.

We had the chance to connect with Grade 10 and 11 classes in our virtual assemblies this week do a mid-year check. We will connect with our Grade 12s nearer to grad. Please stay tuned for a Grad newsletter coming soon.

Throughout February, we continue to honour Black History Month through the work of our Student Advisory and Action Committee & Warrior Diversity Council.

‘Gong Hei Fat Choy’ to those families celebrating Lunar New Year. 2024 is the Year of the Dragon. In my research, I have learned that someone born in the year of the dragon is said to be confident, charismatic and a natural-born leader. We certainly see many of these traits in our Warrior students. Enjoy the celebrations!
