5 Credits Available 10, 20, 30

Level 10 description: Students will learn the basics on how to use hand and power tools safely. They will use hand planes and chisels to create two different skill blocks. They will then move on to using power tools to build a Wooden Mallet, a Cutting Board, and a Stepstool. Inorder to build these projects students will learn to use a multitude of power tools safely, proficiently, and independently.

Level 20 description: Students will be building on the skills that they have learned in Construction 10, Depending on the skills that they learned in CON 10 they will be given the option to build a set project such as a Coffee Table, or End table. If their skill level is high enough they will be given a third option of building a project of their own design. As students progress in their projects they will be expected to work more and more independently learning to think and plan for themselves.

Level 30 description: In CON 30 students will once again have the opportunity to choose the project that they want to build. They will be expected to work independently on their projects with minimal help or instruction. The expectation is that they now know the tools and how to use them safely therefore, they should be more than capable of thinking for themselves and able to come up with creative solutions for any difficulties that they may encounter.
