One way parents/guardians can make a meaningful difference for students is by participating on our school’s parent society. Parent societies are a formal group of parents, incorporated under the Societies Act for the purpose of raising funds for the school. A society is a separate legal entity from the school council. About Our Parent Society
Our Parent Society is known as The Henry Wise Wood Parents and Alumni Association
The Parents and Alumni Association is a fundraising body and registered Society. The primary fundraising activity is a casino, held once every 18-24 months. The funds raised through this event provide much needed resources, equipment, and experiences for our students.
Voting membership includes parents/guardians of Henry Wise Wood students as well as Alumni. School Administration and staff participate on the Parents and Alumni Association in an advisory capacity and are not voting members.
Meeting Schedule
The Henry Wise Wood Parents and Alumni Association holds meetings approximately once every 3 months, as needed, immediately following Henry Wise Wood School Council meetings. All parents, guardians, alumni, and other interested community members of Henry Wise Wood School are welcome to attend any meeting.
