​Dear HWW Students, Families, and Community members

It has been an important week as we observe the National Day of Truth and Reconciliation and continue in our Truth and Reconciliation Calls to Action.  

Here at Henry Wise Wood, we continue our commitment to: 

- anchor our work in the Holistic Lifelong Learning Framework  

- collaborate with Elders, Knowledge Keepers and Indigenous Communities 

- reflect on our professional practice  

- Ignite and foster the learning spirit within all students 

-update our indoor and outdoor Indigenous spaces 

- honour and elevate the voices of our self-identifying Indigenous students 

We will wear our Orange Shirts tomorrow and, on Saturday, we encourage all of our Warrior families to attend one of many Calgary events and to revisit the 94 Calls to Action from the Truth and Reconciliation Commission.
