Dear HWW Students, Families, and Community members,
We are looking forward to our Theatre Production Romeo and Juliet, beginning tonight and running all week. There are still a few tickets left; if you would like to attend, please reach out to our Fine Arts team.
Our Track and Field team is up and running, no pun intended, with another full day Meet this Thursday. They ran through the rain at the Dinos Meet and had a great showing. Speaking of great showings, congratulations to our Badminton team who took 2nd place in the Province! We had 12 students on the final podium, Wise What? Congrats to Coaches Clarke and Larsen and our AD Karen Cheney for such a wonderful season.
Rugby had a busy weekend at Clearwater Cup. Thank you to all of our Athletes, Fans and Coaches. It’s been an exciting season so far, despite some of the weather...
Boys Soccer is also working hard out there, and we look forward to continued growth and success.
A big reminder for Grade 12 parents/guardians, your students should be aware of our mandatory Grad Rehearsal on Wed, May 22 period 4 in the main gym. This is a very important run-through of the Grad Ceremony.
One additional ask for parents/guardians, please ensure that you are contacting the office if you are excusing your student. This is important information for teachers when they review their daily attendance.
We are looking forward to our May 17 PD Day, focused on Student and Staff Learning and Wellbeing. Our Student Wellness Action Team is presenting strategies that build their confidence and reduce anxiety at school, and our wonderful School Council is hosting a staff breakfast. It will be a wonderful day of connection and collaboration.
Best for the week,
Aileen Smyth
Principal
