We continue to be astounded at how quickly the school year has gotten underway.  We are looking forward to what we anticipate to be an amazing athletic season.  In the two short weeks that students have been in school, our Fall sports have gotten off to a great start.  Please see the Athletics update later in this newsletter for more detailed information about upcoming games in the various sports.

Tonight, from 6-8 pm we are hosting our in person Meet the Teacher night.  All Warrior families are invited to attend this evening to experience “A Day in the Life of Your Student”.  We encourage you to attend this with your student.  They will be able to help you navigate their Friday schedule that you will follow as you move from class to class, meeting their various teachers.  Be sure to stop by the School Council table in the foyer to meet some of our council members.

A reminder of our HWW Music Parents’ meeting is being held tonight in the Courtyard at 8 pm tonight after Meet the Teacher. All music parents are asked to attend.

This Friday, we will honour Terry Fox with a virtual assembly and our annual Walk/Run during an extended Warrior Connect from10:47-11:47 am.

As we have welcomed new students and families to our Warrior community, we continue to be thoughtful and intentional in how to best support students in being as successful as they can be in their high school learning experience.  This has included looking at our various class structures, learning experiences, and credit recovery structures.  We appreciate your continued and ongoing feedback on your student’s experience of high school at Henry Wise Wood.
