Principal’s Message

Dear HWW Students, Families, and Community members,  

Happy December, everyone! We were delighted to host a large and vibrant Open House last week.  Prospective students and families experienced first hand what makes HWW such a thriving and joyful learning community.

A big thanks to our Student Wellness Action Team for their presence and brilliance at our CBE Student Well-being Symposium this week. We are excited for your continued impact, leadership and student voice.

We enjoyed our School Progress Conferences and online conversations. Thank you to our parents/ guardians for being such wonderful supports for your students. T1 Report Cards are now live.

Our sports teams are off to a great start! Best to our Coaches, Wrestlers, Basketball players, and Swimmers. We look forward to seeing our Fans in the stands.

Our Winter Band Concert is tomorrow, December 4 at 7pm in the King Gym. No tickets required. There will be a bake sale, a cash raffle and an invitation for donation (cash or card) at the door.

As part of our festive community building, Leadership students have been busy planning for our 12 Days of Spirit.  Here is what is in store for the upcoming week:

December 11– Wear Clothing Colours by Grade & Movie After School

December 12– Celebrity Day & Cookie Decorating

December 15– Festive Hat Day & Hot Chocolate in the Foyer

December 16– Jersey Day & Snocone Sales

December 17– Blizzard Day &Craft in Leadership Room

December 18– Hawaiian/Beach Day & Gingerbread Decorating

December 19– Holiday Sweater Day & Lunchtime Karaoke
