Principal's Message - May 21

Dear HWW Students, Families and Community members,

‘Tis the Season for all things graduation!

For Grade 12 families, please see the attached Grad information for the May 30 Ceremony and Banquet, including our live stream link for the Ceremony.

Our Grad Rehearsal went well today. Thank you to all staff and students for the kind attention to detail and a smooth practice. A particular thank you to our Student Grad Committee and to Ms. Jones, Ms. Pearce, Ms. Boehr, Ms. Belliveau, Ms. Little, Mr. Barile, and Ms. McKay for the outstanding planning. We are so excited to celebrate this milestone as a Warrior Family!

If you have not yet signed up to join us for the Commun-i-tea tomorrow at 5pm, please see sign up information later in this newsletter. All are welcome.

Our School Council invites all parents and guardians to join us this Monday at 6:30 pm for our May session highlighting a speaker session on Artificial Intelligence, a valuable and current educational topic. The session is both online and in person.

Our ‘words of encouragement’ survey is still open if you’d like to take a moment to provide positive feedback to one of our staff team.

Our lockdown practice went smoothly today; thank you for the support from our SRO and the Calgary Police Service.

Locker clean-out is Friday, June 6 during Warrior Connect. Please remind your student to take home all of their items. Any items left behind will be bagged and donated. Yearbooks will also be handed out June 6.

Kudos to all of our student filmmakers involved in our Calgary High School Film Festival yesterday evening; an outstanding evening showcasing student voice and artistry. We are looking forward to our Dance show next week.

Congratulations to our Girls’ and Boy’s Rugby 7s teams heading into Provincials this weekend! Congrats to our student athletes and to Coaches Gough, Wilson and Ronak.
