Dear HWW Students, Families, and Community members,

Thank you to all of our parents/guardians who were able to join us at School Council this week, in person and online.  At this meeting our initial Wish List was submitted to council for consideration for the use of the upcoming funds that will be received in the new year from the casino that was held in October.  We are so appreciative of the incredible support we get from council.  Your efforts truly impact so many students in the school!

We are looking forward to December and a number of celebrations including:

· Drama 30 One Act Festival showcasing all the work done by the Drama 30’s this semester.  This is happening on Dec. 3 & 4 at 6:30, admission will be by donation.

· Winter Concert- Dec. 11 at 7pm in the King Gym. No tickets required. Admission will be by donation at the door.

· Dance Show—Dec. 18 from 5-6 pm in the Theatre, admission will be $5 for adults, $2 for students.

· Leadership students will be leading 12 Days of Spirit, stay tuned for more details on this fun event.

Staff anticipate an excellent day of professional learning on November 29 as we continue to advance our work on outcomes-based assessment.  The opportunity to collaborate, plan and examine our current work and the adjustments required to move this work forward in a meaningful way are critical to its successful implementation.

Our Winter Sports are underway in Jr and Sr Girls and Boys Basketball, Wrestling, Swim/Dive and Curling. We have been enjoying Basketball Intramurals in the gym at lunch. Thank you to all of our coaches, our Athletic Director Karen Cheney, and our wonderful parents/guardians for all the rides, lunches and spectator support you provide.  We look forward to seeing you in our stands again soon.

With gratitude,

Teresa Martin
