Dear HWW Students, Families, and Community members,   

The splendor of fall is certainly upon us, especially as we continue to experience wonderful weather that has accompanied it!  This has certainly been to the benefit of many of our outdoor activities such as athletics and our upcoming phys. ed. hikes occurring in the next week.

Next Tuesday, we are delighted to be hosting our annual Veterans’ Tea event. This has become an annual tradition at Henry Wise Wood that allows students the opportunity to sit with Veterans to hear their stories and to engage with a number of displays from various organizations such as the Calgary Military Museum.

Our Out-of-Province (OOP) Post–Secondary Fair will be held the morning of October 23 for Grade 11 and 12 students.

We are looking forward to our upcoming School Conferences occurring next week.  It is important for parents/guardians to sign up using the links, shared on the next page, for conferences that are either in-person Thursday, October 24 (evening) or online Friday, October 25 (morning).

And finally, congratulations to our Athletics teams who are heading into playoffs; best to our Girls Soccer playing in Semi Finals on Thursday and to our Cross Country Athletes heading to Provincials in Grande Prairie this weekend!
