Dear HWW Students, Families, and Community members,
Thank you to those families who were able to attend our School Conferences. We appreciated the opportunity to connect with you regarding your student’s progress in their various classes. Keeping communication lines open between home and school is a key component to supporting students in their success at school.
Thank you also to those parents/guardians who were able to attend this week’s School Council Annual General meeting in person or online; it was a pleasure to connect with you! Please save the date for our November School Council and Parent and Alumni meetings on November 25 at 6:30pm.
We know this is a busy time for our Grade 12s as they consider their opportunities for next year. The Guidance team is here to provide support. This week we host an in-province post-secondary fair for students. Grad photos also begin later this week.
We are enjoying this week as we engage in the Spirit Week activities that Leadership students have planned for the school. Monday was Jersey Day, Tuesday was Twin Day, Wednesday is Fun Sock/Hat, Thursday is Hallowe’en and the great parade of costumes that happens during Wise Time. The week culminates with Decades Day!
Congratulations to the girls Soccer team and their coaches for a very successful season. The team’s season culminated with the winning of the Division 1 City Championship game last week. We are so proud of all of our Athletics teams who are working hard to finish their season strong as we move into Playoffs. Come on out and support our various teams!
A reminder that Term 1 is complete and today marks the beginning of Term 2. Report cards go live on Thursday, November 14. This is a snapshot of your child’s current learning progress. Please reach out to your child’s teacher with any questions.
November 7 will also hold our Remembrance Day Assemblies. These Assemblies will be multi-grade by Warrior Connect in the main gym. Thank you to our Fine Arts and CTS teams and the students and Veterans who will take part in creating a memorable commemoration.
Wishing you best for the week,
With appreciation,
Teresa Martin
Principal
