Dear HWW Students, Families and Community members, 

Happy Valentine’s Day! This week we enjoyed Crush for a Crush run by our Leadership Students. Later this month, we commemorate Pink Shirt Day with our Random Acts of Kindness week.  As a Warrior Family, we stand against bullying; we believe in connection, support and kindness which our Warriors extend to one another and our community.

We had a short week of classes as our Teachers and Support Staff head to their Conventions. There are a number of excellent sessions; it promises to be a wonderful learning opportunity as we continue to enhance our professional practice. 

Congratulations to our Boys Curling Team on their Gold this weekend as they go to Provincials later this month. And, congratulations to our Robotics team on their Gold this weekend as they also head to Provincials! Our basketball teams continue to have strong seasons, with a victory by our Jr Boys and Sr Girls teams this week. Our Badminton season is underway, with a phenomenal turnout at try-outs.

We look forward to our Warrior Voice Café next week where students share positive experiences of cultural representation at school and what ways students would like to see their own culture represented at school and learn about other cultures. Students can sign up to attend on the QR code posted around the school.

We wish each of our students a wonderful, restorative long weekend, and all of our Warrior Families a lovely Family Day,
