Principal’s Message

Dear HWW Students, Families, and Community members,

A big welcome back to Ms Newman and our Band students who travelled to Disneyland for a wonderful learning opportunity and to perform onstage in the California Adventure Park!

We are grateful to have the richness of so many cultures represented in our school. On April 25, we are delighted to host our second annual Culture Day. Students are invited to take part in one of 4 ways:

· Wear cultural attire/ Warrior gear

· Host a booth in the Courtyard- sign up via QR code throughout the school

· Share a dance or music performance in the Theatre

· Take part in a Fashion Walk in the Theatre

Due to inclement weather, we postponed our fire drill this past week. The lockdown practice went smoothly and our CPS partners complimented the staff and students on their diligence in following proper procedures.

Term 3 ends on April 12 and Term 4 begins on April 15. A reminder that teachers will be updating marks April 8-12. Report cards will be visible as of April 18.

In Friday’s LINK block, we will have a Community and Wellbeing Resource Fair in the Courtyard. Many community agencies will be on hand to share their resources with students and staff.

Eid Mubarak to all those staff and students celebrating this week,

Aileen Smyth

Principal
