Dear Henry Wise Wood Students, Families, and Community members,
We hope that our Warrior family is enjoying a lovely summer! Through the opportunities of the summer and connecting with the land, we have been reminded of the importance of time to reflect, rejuvenate, and prepare to start fresh in the Fall.
Student course schedules will be visible in MyCBE as of Friday, August 18. Please see the information below from Student Services regarding course change requests. Please note that complimentary (option) course changes are not available for Grade 10s.
Please note the Passport to Success schedule and information below. This is a valuable opportunity for students to come to the school for photos, ID cards and tours. Passport to Success is 9am - noon on Wednesday, August 23 from 9am – noon for Grade 11 and 12 students, and Thursday, August 24 from 9am – 3pm for all Grade 10 and new students.
Classes begin for students on Thursday, August 31. Please see the information below about staggered entry for this day. Grade 10s attend all day, Grade 11s and 12s attend afternoon only. Regular timetable begins Friday, September 1.
Please note below, Language Challenges will be held on August 24 and English Additional Language (EAL) Benchmarking on August 30.
Highlighting 2 additional dates, please mark your calendars:
- Indigenous Feast September 5 - Indigenous families are invited to the courtyard to come together informally at 5pm and begin the school year in a good way. Elder Dr. Bruce Starlight will be joining us and giving a blessing.
- September 13- HWW staff will be hosting our in person Meet the Teacher Evening, more information will be sent to families the beginning of September.
