Dear Henry Wise Wood Families: Congratulations to our Girls Soccer team on earning the silver medal in the Division 2 Finals this past Thursday. The team demonstrated tremendous growth and improvement throughout the season, culminating in this outstanding achievement. Our Junior Girls Volleyball team also had a strong showing this weekend, winning the Consolation Final at a tournament in Okotoks. As the regular season draws to a close, all of our fall teams are building momentum and preparing for playoffs. We encourage our school community to follow and support our student athletes. Please refer to the CSHSAA schedule for playoff dates, times, and locations. Interact/Agents for Change: Ms. Bamford and Mr. Thompson In the spirit of the Veteran's Tea at Henry Wise Wood last week, as well as Remembrance Day coming up in a few weeks, our Interact/Agents for Change students are volunteering to collect donations for the Calgary Veteran's Association Food Bank. This year we have introduced a new, fun, and convenient system for food bank donations! Our club has already purchased the food items that are needed for veterans, so we will be running a "store" where staff and students can purchase the items at varying prices ($2 - $5) to be placed in the collection box. Drop by the main foyer on Tuesdays and Thursdays at lunch. Cash or debit accepted! Let's show the veterans how much we appreciate their service to our great country – thank you for your support! And a shout out to the 12 students from the club that signed up to Volunteer at the Calgary Food Bank warehouse this upcoming Monday! They have completed their volunteer training and are ready to make a difference for Calgary families. The Curling Team is Looking for More Members! If there are any students who are interested in joining the school curling team, please speak with Mr. McDonald in Room 301 or email him at mamcdonald@cbe.ab.ca. Our season is just getting started and we would love to have a few more members to round out the team. No experience is necessary! 🎬 Environmental Club Movie Night – The LEGO Batman Movie - Join a fun movie night in the courtyard on Wednesday, November 4, 2026, at 4:00 PM!
