As the school year gains momentum, it has been inspiring to see so many students stepping forward to contribute to our school community. Whether they are auditioning for a production, trying out for a team, leading a club, volunteering in the community, or supporting their peers from the sidelines, our students are embracing the many opportunities available to them with courage and commitment.   The HWW faculty remains committed to providing meaningful opportunities for your children to engage, lead, and discover their interests both inside and outside the classroom.  We look forward to hosting several events at our school this week: 

University/College Visits: Students are welcome to join these information sessions hosted by university/college representatives. Sessions are at lunch: 

  • SAIT:  Monday September 14 in the Main foyer 
  • Macmaster University:  Wednesday September 16 in the Library classroom 
  • The University of Victoria:  Thursday September 17 in the Library classroom 

Club Day:  Tuesday, September 15 at lunchtime in the courtyard.

Language Course Challenges:  Can your child speak and write one of these languages? Arabic, French, Cantonese, German, Japanese, Mandarin, Persian, Punjabi, Spanish, Ukrainian, Filipino or Italian? Students can earn 15 High School credits if they successfully challenge the level 30 course in that language. To find out more about Language Course Challenge Exams, read the Guide for students and families.  Exam Dates for 2026-2027 Semester 1: Part 1: Saturday, October 24, 2026, and Part 2: Saturday, November 21, 2026.  Application forms must be submitted to Mr. Chieng (Student Services) before September 28, 2026.
