Principal's Message

We are so proud to celebrate our Warriors this week! On Tuesday we had our Night of the Warrior to celebrate our many fierce athletes. Wednesday night is a celebration of our CTS & Fine Arts accomplishments. And Thursday evening is our Band Concert! It is undoubtedly busy, but it is so important to celebrate the many hours of dedication our students have put in.

Fingers crossed that the sunny weather will hold so we can continue with our end of year tradition of games on the field for Grade 12s on spares this Friday, June 5. It is a regular school day and attendance is taken. All Warriors are invited to a free lunch on the field. Shout out to our wonderful PE team for coordinating!

Students are reminded not to disrupt the learning in the building and are asked not to bring any water guns to school. Bags will be checked at the door, and water guns will be confiscated by staff and stored in the office until day’s end.

Monday and Tuesday of next week are regular school days and attendance will be taken.

Wednesday will be the beginning of our exams – please see the exam schedule here. Wednesday June 10 and Thursday June 11 will be modified schedule days. What does that mean? It means that students who are not writing exams will have access to subject area support during their regularly scheduled class time. Locations will be posted in the foyer next week.

If your student is in PLP, ACCESS or LEAD they will continue to attend school as usual until Friday, June 26.

Thank you in advance to our generous school council for providing “Fuel Your Brain Treats” for our exam takers!

PLP and ACCESS are hosting Vecova and Easter Seals to provide information to parents and students about transitioning into adulthood for people with exceptional needs.  Following the presentations, we will celebrate our in-coming grade 10’s, graduates, and the end of the school year with a lunch and get together.

Parents are encouraged to RSVP to Marie Smith at mssmith@cbe.ab.ca so we can accommodate for space and any dietary restrictions.

The event will be held on June 22, beginning at 10:30.
